Services

Home nursing care on medical prescription, reimbursed by Swiss basic health insurance (OPAS). Comprehensive care, tailored to each situation.

General nursing care

As a qualified nurse, I provide the full range of everyday nursing care at home. Each case is individualised: I assess your needs, plan the visits with your doctor and adapt the care as your situation evolves. My approach combines technical rigour with a genuine human relationship — because home care is also a moment of listening, with the same nurse at every visit.

Technical care

  • Monitoring of vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, blood glucose
  • Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, including depot injections
  • Preparation and administration of medication, with associated documentation
  • Simple to complex wound dressings, follow-up of chronic and post-operative wounds
  • Comfort care and pressure ulcer prevention
  • Sample collection for laboratory tests

Assessment and support

  • Assessment of care needs and of the patient’s social environment
  • Therapeutic education: managing symptoms and using medication correctly
  • Support with treatment adherence and monitoring of treatment effectiveness
  • Advice to the patient and family on managing the condition day to day
  • Post-hospitalisation follow-up and gradual rehabilitation
  • Coordination with the treating doctor and other care providers

Mental health nursing care

My main area of specialisation. Going through a difficult period sometimes calls for tailored support, at home, in reassuring surroundings. I offer caring, structured nursing support for people facing mental health difficulties — whether a fragile moment, an established condition or a period of transition. My approach is firmly multidisciplinary: I work in a network with the doctors, associations and support organisations in the Sierre district, for coordinated care suited to your situation. And because a relationship of trust is decisive in mental health, it is always the same person who follows your care — me — from one visit to the next.

Mental health and addiction care

  • Regular supportive nursing conversations at home
  • Mental health consultations: listening, support and strengthening personal resources
  • Help with managing stress, difficult emotions and anxiety
  • Motivational support and guidance towards greater well-being
  • Support throughout the care pathway for addictions (alcohol, substances, medication)
  • Relapse prevention and support with stabilisation

Psychogeriatrics and coordination

  • Support for older people facing emotional or cognitive difficulties
  • Help with structuring daily life and maintaining social connections
  • Support and a listening ear for family carers
  • Monitoring of treatment adherence and its effects
  • Multidisciplinary coordination: treating doctor, care network and local associations
  • Connecting patients with the support organisations available in the Sierre district

Professional background

A qualified nurse, I have devoted more than ten years to caring for people experiencing mental health difficulties. My state nursing diploma, obtained in France, is recognised by the Swiss Red Cross and allows me to practise in Switzerland on the same basis as a holder of a Swiss diploma.

I built my experience in psychiatry first in France, within a public mental health institution, where I worked for several years on a mobile team — care delivered directly in patients’ homes. I continued in Valais, at the Community Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Centre of the Hôpital du Valais, in Sion and then Sierre, where I worked until 2024, including several years as a clinical nurse.

This experience spans mental health, psychogeriatrics and addiction care, as well as support during times of crisis. I have complemented it with focused training in the prevention and management of aggression, in emotional intelligence and in pain management. I now practise as an independent nurse in the Sierre district, with a caring, structured and personalised approach.

Have a question?

Here are answers to the most common questions about home nursing care.

It all starts with a prescription from your doctor (a GP or a specialist). I then carry out an assessment of your needs at home within the first few days. Together, we define a personalised care plan: how often I visit, the goals and the expected duration. Your doctor receives the assessment and stays involved throughout the follow-up.

For treatment care (injections, dressings, administering medication), yes — a medical prescription is required. For assessment, advice and coordination, as well as for basic care, a prescription is not mandatory. In all cases, an assessment of needs is carried out and shared with your doctor.

Home nursing care is reimbursed by mandatory health insurance (AOS/LAMal) at standard OPAS rates. Your health insurer covers assessment, treatment and basic care. The usual deductible and 10% co-payment remain payable by you. Care is also covered by disability, accident and military insurance depending on the situation.

Mental health nursing care is for anyone going through a difficult period emotionally or psychologically: anxiety, depression, exhaustion, difficulties related to an addiction, mood disorders or a life transition. The person’s condition must be stable enough for care at home. The aim is to support you in your own surroundings, alongside the follow-up with your doctor.

The CMS (Centre médico-social, the public home-care service) is a large public team. As an independent nurse, I offer more personalised follow-up: it is always the same person who visits, which builds a relationship of trust — something essential in mental health. Both approaches are reimbursed in the same way by basic health insurance.

My work is based on planned, regular visits. In a psychiatric emergency, contact the crisis intervention team on 0800 01 22 00 (free, 24/7). For life-threatening emergencies, call 144.
